Lake Buchanan is the second largest of the Highland Lakes in Central Texas with a length of 30 miles and a width at the widest point of approximately 5 miles.  This is a boating and fishing paradise.  The annual Lake Buchanan Regatta and Dam Jam is held every April.  Along the 124 miles of shoreline there are plenty of granite shores for swimming, wading and sunbathing.  At the Colorado River Canyon you might catch a spectacular view of the nesting Bald Eagles near the waterfalls.
